Process and Product Quality

Welcome to our Process and Product Quality Division page. The division is comprised of hundreds of professionals who assess and promote process and product quality through continuous improvement and application of state-of-the-art testing implementation and quality management techniques.

Division Chair: Walter Rantanen, SGS Integrated Paper Services, Inc.

The Process and Product Quality Division’s mission is to assess and promote process and product quality through continuous improvement and application of state-of-the-art testing, implementation and quality management techniques. The leadership of the committees makes up the Division Council. The P&PQ Division is responsible for ~75% of TAPPI’s Standards.

Each year, the Process and Product Quality Division co-sponsors the Runnability Fun Run at PaperCon/TAPPICon. 

The Technical Committees of the Process and Product Quality Division work together throughout the year to solve problems, develop technical papers, plan conference sessions, and more.

Each year, the Process and Product Quality Division is proud to provide several awards.

We are proud to provide TAPPI Connect as a centralized, online resource for our members, consultants and volunteers to network, share knowledge, problem solve and collaborate.
